Dr. Flack grew up in Harrisburg, PA and received her undergraduate degree in Biology and Equestrian Studies from Lake Erie College. She worked for 7 years as a surgical nurse at New Bolton Center, The University of Pennsylvania Veterinary School’s large animal hospital. She then returned to school and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. Over the years her focus has moved from showing Dressage horses, to showing and breeding Pembroke Welsh Corgis, then to building an emu ranch.
Her primary interests in veterinary medicine are soft tissue surgery, abdominal ultrasound, reproductive medicine, and exotic pet and bird medicine. Dr. Flack has practiced in this area for over 20 years. She lives with her husband and daughter, a Cardigan Welsh Corgi, two cats, a Senegal parrot, and two Rex bunnies. She enjoys gardening and reading and fantasizes about getting back to sailing on the Chesapeake Bay.
